VERY busy day at "133" a.k.a "Area 51" a.k.a "CP51".

The countertops arrived yesterday. You may need to click on the above image to "zoom" in and get a better look.

Here is a much better picture of the cabinets. The previous ones I took came out too dark.

Last week, the hardwoods were installed. They still need to sand/stain them.

The exterior is almost done. The stack stone was started on Sunday and completed last night. Looks like the shutters are one of the last items left to be painted and we can consider the exterior completed.

Here is a closer shot of the front porch. The last step would be to add the two front columns.

The built in bookcases have been installed and crown molding was quick to follow.

And to my surprise, they installed 70+ tress directly across from the house. I hope they install some sod/seed and a sidewalk too.

A few days have passed and tons of progress has been made.. As I am typing this, I am sure these pictures are outdated. So much progress is being made during these final weeks, it's gonna be hard to keep the blog current. I'll do my best!

This front shot was taken on 9/11/07, they had just poured the driveway and walkways.

The cabinets were delivered and installed also. This picture of the cabinets didn't turn out real good, it's real dark. It's hard to see the detail in the cabinets with this picture. In person, they look good.

They had also installed the railing for the stairs.

Here is a shot of the cabinets. This one is in the powder room, however, it's the same as the kitchen.

The fireplace mantel and stone were also installed.

As I was leaving, I noticed they ran conduit below each walkway. This will be nice when I go to run outside lights.

My trip last night showed even more progress, they were putting up the stack stone (on a Sunday). This front shot was taken on 9/16/07. I didn't take many pictures of the inside, most everything was covered in plastic (about to paint).

Expect another update real soon..

Drywall goes up.. sheetrock mud follows.. tons of sanding and wa-la!
